Manjiri is posting every day as she tries to take KathaDaily, a paid daily-stories site, from 26 to 100 paying readers in 21 days. By day 12: two Instagram ad campaigns and an X post sent hundreds of visitors but no buyers. 28 paying users, $48.37 in, $113.50 spent.

01The problem
KathaDaily had 26 paying users and was losing money; she set out to reach 100 paying readers in 21 days.
02The hypothesis
Paid Instagram ads plus posting on X can get KathaDaily to 100 paying readers in 21 days.
03The experiment
She started on 21 September with 26 paying users, $39 of revenue and $95 of expenses, and a plan: get visitors first, then fix conversion.
Her first Instagram ad, made with AI video tools for a few dollars of credits, ran at $2.09 a day and was optimised for website visits. A second campaign was optimised for purchases. On day 8 one of her X posts went slightly viral.
All three brought visitors and none brought a buyer that day, which she reads as the ad's call to action and the landing page needing work. On day 9 she started a new campaign with two versions of a new creative. The day-by-day log above is updated as she posts.
