Stacker's founder Noah Greenberg posted on LinkedIn almost daily to reach buyers. His most viral post, read by 700,000 people, didn't produce a single sales call. A post the week before, seen by only 4,000, set up three.
01The problem
Nobody had heard of Stacker's new product, which sells to VP- and director-level content leaders at enterprise brands.
02The hypothesis
LinkedIn is the one publication all his customers read, so posting there regularly can drive sales conversations.
03The experiment
He set a 9:00 AM calendar reminder to post every day. Early posts reached a few hundred people, and it took five months before any post passed 10,000 impressions, but he booked plenty of sales calls before that.
Alongside posting he connected with 25 to 50 target people a week, let them see his posts for a few weeks, then sent a short DM asking for their feedback rather than pitching.
He judges posts by whether target customers engage, not by impressions. His post on go-to-market strategies on LinkedIn was read by 700,000 people and produced no sales calls; a week earlier, a post seen by 4,000 people set up three.

05What worked — and what didn't
What worked
- Writing for one specific buyer (he profiles a real target person in 5–10 bullets first).
- Posting daily: the rate of learning matters more than volume.
- Connecting with 25–50 targets a week and DMing only after they'd seen his posts for a few weeks.
- Measuring engagement from potential customers, not impressions.
What didn't work
- His most viral post (700,000 readers) produced zero sales calls.
- Early posts reached only a few hundred people; it took five months to pass 10,000 impressions.
06Lessons
Views are not pipeline. A post that the right 4,000 people see can beat one that 700,000 of the wrong people read. Note this is enterprise B2B (contracts of $60–90K a year), where a few calls are worth a lot.
“Don't look at impressions, look at am I getting engagement from the people that matter?”
